back home safe and sound

we made it back - though we're both a bit exhausted - we flew to St. Louis, MO last Saturday, then rented a car Monday and drove to Indiana, stayed the night, went into the woods of KY (see the above photo) and had a great lunch with family friends, then drove to TN for a night in a beautiful bed and breakfast in Murfreesboro, TN - the next day we drove to Louisville where we stayed 2 nights, then back into IN for a night and then one more night in Louisville before flying home Sunday afternoon (with a fun 2 hour layover in Cincinatti, OH) and getting home really late.
I'll post about the trip sometime soon - but I'm still trying to catch up with the laundry and unpacking and getting caught up with the mail, etc.
Everything is fine though - and we had a wonderful trip! :) - I did get some knitting done on the plane - still working on my guernsey - I have *almost* finished the plain knitting in the round part of the body - I'm a few inches away from where the armholes will start - then I'll have to get to work on the sleeves.
more to come.... :)

Welcome home! Sounds like you had a busy but fun trip. DH and I tend to do the "take a holiday and drive until your butt is numb" vacations; not very restful but we see a lot of stuff.

Looking forward to hearing all about the Cincinatti airport.

Did you go the Knitnook by any chance in Louisville? I love that place!
